I was playing the game and I haven't gotten the expansion pack nevertheless and I noticed an alternative to make gourmet pet meals. Hello, The only pets readily available without the pets expansion pack are fish (if you purchase the fish bowl). The "gourmet pet meals" is almost certainly a Sims 3 update, not an expansion addition (which I locate to be fairly odd). Excellent luck! :)
