Query by lilmomo79m: Can i use raisins rather of currants in my recipe? i have a cake recipe that calls for currants but desired to know if i could use raisins as an alternative? i haven't been to the keep but, but anything tells me i'm gonna have a hard time discovering currants. are they effortlessly accessible or would i have to go to a specialty/gourmet meals keep? thanks for your assist! are they a lot more like cranberries than raisins? as far as taste? are they a lot more bitter than sweet?
